What To Expect
In order to better prepare you for your first appointment with us, we have provided you some information that we hope will answer any questions you may have and will give you an idea of what to expect. At the first appointment, please allow at least one hour's time. We will have you fill out several forms upon your arrival that will help us become better acquainted with you. We have provided our Patient Information/Health History Form (typically the longest form to complete) at the bottom of the page that you can download, print, and fill out in the convenience of your own home. Once complete, simply bring it with you to your first appointment. Please also alert us of any medical condition prior to your treatment (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, kidney/liver problems, heart disease, cancer, artificial heart valves and joints, bisphosphonate use, etc.), as well as any requirement for antibiotics prior to dental care. If you are taking any medications, please provide us with a complete list of them.
If you have dental benefits/insurance, please bring your card or any other required forms with you.
After the doctors have reviewed your information, a comprehensive examination will be completed. This examination will include the necessary x-rays, as well as a detailed inspection of your teeth and gums. After your examination, our team will inform you of our findings, and then provide you with our recommendations/treatment options. Together, we will develop a treatment plan that addresses your dental needs and will help you to achieve and maintain a healthy smile. In most cases, we are typically able to complete a dental cleaning at the first appointment.
